Production of "Ratnik" Kalashnikov assault rifles will be launched in Kazakhstan

The Tynys plant, one of the largest industrial enterprises of Akmola region (Kazakhstan), will launch the production of AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles. The project has been in preparation since 2021 with active participation of technical specialists of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies. Joint poduction will be launched in 2022 and will meet the needs of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan in modern automatic rifles of the "Ratnik" family. Earlier in 2021, in New Delhi a contract was signed to supply the Ministry of Defense of India with more than 600,000 AK-203 assault rifles produced at a joint Russian-Indian production facility in the city of Korwa (Uttar Pradesh, India) as part of the meeting of the Ministers of Defense of Russia and India.

A large quantity of AK machine guns was produced on an expedited basis at the Concern Kalashnikov JSC site for foreign customers from the Asia-Pacific region (APR) under a contract concluded by Rosoboronexport JSC. In 2021, the group of companies increased the production of military products for export by more than 70% compared to 2020. Kalashnikov automatic rifles of one hundred and two hundred series, "Ratnik" Kalashnikov assault rifles, various types of high-precision weapons are among the main export products. "Military and civilian products under the "Kalashnikov" brand are shipped to 27 countries. Foreign customers traditionally highly value our products' reliability and technical characteristics. The upward trend of military products export, despite difficult work conditions like the pandemic and sanctions is a clear confirmation of this", said Vladimir Lepin, CEO of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies. Also last year, during the official visit to India of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a key contract was signed between the Ministry of Defense of India and the Indo-Russia Rifles Private Limited joint venture for the supply of AK-203 automatic rifles, which will be produced in India with the technical assistance of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies.
